However, it is susceptible to port friction, where open slots result in lost capacity, and data analytics offer limited enhancements. The Scheduling System, an advancement from the Appointment System, addresses these issues by operating at maximum capacity or beyond, utilizing data analytics for extreme optimization. It integrates closely with yard and berth cycles, requiring only minor infrastructure investment. This system can be implemented as a Port Authority project to provide an additional layer of logistics optimization for multiple ports in a single zone.
